X-Men: Days of Future Past took in about $110 million over the four-day holiday weekend, which would rank it as the fifth highest Memorial Day opener. That’s a lot of money. But as a Forbes article pointed out, that’s less than what X-Men: The Last Stand took in over Memorial Day weekend in 2006 ($123 million). And when adjusted for inflation, it’s even smaller than the three-day, non-holiday weekend debut of X2: X-Men United ($85 million in 2003).
