Fifty Shades of Grey, which is rated R and targets mainly women, opened to an impressive $85.2 million over Valentine’s Day weekend. Kingsman: The Secret Service opened in second place with a take of $36.2 million. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water dropped to third place with a weekend gross of $31.5 million.
