6 Things About Dumb and Dumber To Blu-ray

Dumb and Dumber To

My wife and I recently watched Dumb and Dumber To (giveaway). Universal Pictures Home Entertainment sent me the Blu-ray for review on my movies blog. Dumb and Dumber is the third installment in the series. Like the other two films, this one is full of silly gags. Some are funny, and some are not. Dumb and Dumber To is available now on digital HD, and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow. Continue reading to learn six things about the film.

Six Things About Dumb and Dumber To

  1. You don’t need to see the first two Dumb and Dumber movies
Dumb and Dumber To takes place 20 years after the first Dumb and Dumber movie. I have not seen that film since 1994 and I don’t remember much about it. As far as I can tell, it’s helpful to see the first movie before you see this third installment, but you won’t have any problems following along if you skipped the first film. You also don’t need to see the second movie either. I think that one was a prequel to the first Dumb and Dumber movie.

  2. It’s a story about two dumb guys
Dumb and Dumber To is about two dumb guys named Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. In this story, the two of them go on a road trip to track down Harry’s daughter. Harry needs a kidney and his daughter (Fanny) is his only relative. But their road trip gets complicated when Fanny’s adopted mother decides to stop them.

  3. The humor is dumb
Dumb and Dumber To is one of those stupid funny films. If you’re not into these types of movies, then Dumb and Dumber To isn’t for you. In my opinion, some of the Dumb and Dumber To gags were funny in even though they were also stupid. But there were also gags that I thought were just plain stupid. My wife didn’t really like the humor in the film. My eleven-year son have not seen it yet, but I’m sure he would’ve been rolling on the floor laughing. It’s his type of movie.

  4. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back
Unlike the second Dumb and Dumber movie, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back in this third installment. Like the first movie, Jim played the part of Lloyd Christmas, while Jeff played the part of Harry Dunne. Dumb and Dumber To also featured Rob Riggle (Travis / Captain Lippincott), Laurie Holden (Adele), Rachel Melvin (Penny), Steve Tom (Dr. Pinchelow), Don Lake (Dr. Meldmann), Patricia French (Ms. Sourpuss), Kathleen Turner (Fraida Felcher), Bill Murray (Ice Pick), Tembi Locke (Dr. Walcott), Paul Blackthorne (Dr. Meldman), Brady Bluhm (Billy), Eddie Shin (Gordy), and Tommy Snider (Tom). Dumb and Dumber To was directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly.

  5. Dumb and Dumber To includes bonus features
The Blu-ray Combo Pack includes the 110-minute movie in Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD (Ultraviolet streaming). In addition, the DVD and Blu-ray includes the following special features:

    • Alternate Opening (Blu-ray only)
    • Deleted and Extended Scenes (Blu-ray only)
    • Gag Reel (Blu-ray only)
    • What’s so Smart about Dumb and Dumber To? (Blu-ray only)
From stress relief to providing a new perspective on life, the film’s cast and crew and the author of Psychology for Dummies make the case for why you sometimes need to step back from the seriousness of life and just get dumb.
    • That’s Awesome! (Blu-ray and DVD)
The Story Of Dumb And Dumber To
  6. The film is rated PG-13
Dumb and Dumber To is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, partial nudity, language and some drug. I think the movie is fine for most kids. There isn’t anything really nasty, but some of the humor are sexual in nature. And of course, there is a lot of bathroom humor in the movie.
