There are four new DVD and Blu-ray movies worth mentioning this week. New releases include Still Alice (Julianne Moore, Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart), Blackhat (Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis), Mortdecai (Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor), and Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts (animated). Still Alice looks like the best of the new films, but I’m not sure if I’m going to watch it. My mom had Alzheimer’s and Dementia when she died. The film might bring back too many bad memories.     Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.

  • Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts

    Batman must enlist the help of his superhero allies to defeat a dangerous gang of animal-themed criminals led by the Penguin.
