Neighbors Blu-ray - Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, and Zac Efron

I watched Neighbors (giveaway) over the weekend. The movie is a comedy about two sets of neighbors. On one side is a young married couple. On the other side is a group of fraternity brothers. The neighbors get along at first, but they soon turn into enemies. As a result, they end up pulling serious pranks on each other to make each other lives difficult. I enjoyed the film. The story isn’t exactly original, but it’s funny. I liked the three main characters. They were played by Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne. If you’re in the mood for a comedy, you should definitely consider watching Neighbors (Universal Studios Home Entertainment). The movie is available now on Blu-ray and DVD. Continue reading to learn five things about it.

Five Things About the Neighbors Blu-ray Combo Pack

  1. It’s a game of one-upmanships
Neighbors is a movie about a young married couple with a baby girl. They are living a happy life until a group of fraternity brothers moves in next door. They don’t want to seem uncool, but the loud parties of the frat bother them. That’s when the couple calls the police. From that point on, the neighbors sabotage each other in humorous one-upmanships. The young married couple are trying to get the frat in trouble with the university, while the frat brothers just want revenge on their neighbors. Some of the pranks are funny and somewhat realistic. But there were also some pranks that were completely unbelievable.

  2. The wife is more crazy than the guys
In most movies, the wife is usually the sensible adult that discourages the husband from doing stupid things. That’s not the case in Neighbors. Kelly Radner, the wife of the main character, encourages her husband to do stupid things and sometimes she’s even more immature. Sounds like my kind of woman!

  3. Neighbors stars Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne
The stars of the film are Seth Rogen (Mac Radner), Zac Efron (Teddy Sanders), and Rose Byrne (Kelly Radner). I liked their characters even though they were not exactly outstanding citizens. Neighbors also features Elise Vargas (Stella), Zoey Vargas (Stella), Brian Huskey (Bill Wazowkowski), Ike Barinholtz (Jimmy), Carla Gallo (Paula), Dave Franco (Pete), Halston Sage (Brooke), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Scoonie), Jerrod Carmichael (Garf), Craig Roberts (Assjuice), Ali Cobrin (Whitney), and Kira Sternbach (Brittany). Neighbors was directed by Nicholas Stoller.

  4. The film is rated R
The 97-minute movie is rated R for pervasive language, strong crude and sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use throughout. Neighbors is probably OK for older kids, but I wouldn’t let my younger children watch it. There’s some nudity and graphic sex scenes, and lots of profanity and crude humor.

  5. The Blu-ray includes even more features than the DVD
The Blu-ray Combo Pack includes the movie in Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD (with UltraViolet) formats. In addition, the Blu-ray includes special features that are not available on the DVD.

    • Alternate Opening (Digital HD and Blu-ray only)
Uncover the mystery of how the original Delta Psi Beta house was destroyed and how the neighbors became neighbors
    • Deleted/Alternate Scenes (Digital HD and Blu-ray only)
    • On the Set (Digital HD and Blu-ray only)
Dave Franco provides a tour around the frat’s fundraiser (aka dildo sale), while Christopher Mintz-Plasse talks about and demonstrates his special “prop”
    • Gag Reel
The entire cast contributes to these hilarious on-set flubs
    • Line-O-Rama
The laughs continue take after take in this improvisational extended scene
    • An Unlikely Pair
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the unlikely pairing of comedic veteran Seth Rogen and heartthrob Zac Efron
    • Partying with the Neighbors
Parties, babies and crazy friends; these three elements lead to some of the funniest moments on the screen and on set
    • The Frat
Learn more about Delta Psi Beta – the current frat brothers, the legends of Delta Psi that came before, and current whipping boy, Ass-Juice
