King of Comedy Sweepstake – win the Blu-ray

King of Comedy Blu-ray

Thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, I’m giving a Blu-ray copy of King of Comedy: 30th Anniversary. It was released earlier in the week. I have not seen the movie, but it features Robert De Niro, Jerry Lewis and Sandra Bernhard. I’m a fan of Robert De Niro and was a big fan of Jerry Lewis when I was a kid. And of course, Sandra Bernhard is pretty funny.

The King of Comedy Synopsis

Academy Award Winner Robert De Niro, Jerry Lewis and Sandra Bernhard give mesmerizing performances in this “chilling black comedy” (TV Guide’s Movie Guide) that explores the painfully high and often hilarious price of fame. Desperate to be a star, struggling stand-up comedian Rupert Pupkin (De Niro) enlists the aid of his fanatical friend Masha (Bernhard) to kidnap talk show host Jerry Langford (Lewis). The ransom? A guest spot for Pupkin. The results? Outrageous! The King of Comedy stands as Scorsese’s prophetic masterpiece which confronts a celebrity culture that “looks more disturbingly current with each passing year” (Lucia Bozzola, All Movie Guide).

The King of Comedy Special Features

  • Tribeca Film Festival: A Conversation with Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, and Jerry Lewis
  • A Shot to the Top: The Making of The King of Comedy
  • Deleted And Extended Scenes
  • Theatrical Trailer and TV Spot

  1. I really like Louis CK. He is funny but not raunchy and can joke about himself in relatable stories.

  2. Love King of Comedy! My favorite comedian of all time has to be Patrice O’Neal. Brilliant hilarious guy who had so much integrity that it hindered his career some. Right before he died, he seemed like he was finally going to make it on his terms. Really tragic. He was amazing, though.
